Poetry from the Editor

Greetings, dear reader.

Here you may (or may not) find a few verses I’ve scratched out whenever the mood has suited (though, if I may be candid, it usually hasn’t).

I’m not one for poetry myself—unless it’s about me, of course. To that end, I’d suggest you navigate to the “Poetry” tab, more specifically its “Vintage Verses” subheading, and locate an excellent entry from one E. A. Poe; not my most flattering portrayal, surely, but certainly the most memorable.

As for my own poetry, I have as yet written one entry, which I’ve dutifully posted below (at my own peril, I might add); it’s a rather fanciful description of this very paper—a discarded masthead draft I wrote years ago while batting around notions of a horror-focused, independent, fiction-forward publication. Should you choose to read on, please do your best to enjoy.

Spine-chilling stories, new and old
To shock your blood til it runs cold
Pen words of your own, they might appear here
To appall and delight, and inspire much fear
